Sudan Rufaa Bridge is over the Green Nile, the city of Rufaa, 137 km to the southeast of Khartoum, the capital of Sudan. The bridge connects the west and east banks of the Green Nile, and interconnects the old highway from Khartoum to another important city. The main body of the bridge is 60m+90m+60m continuous beam bridge built from pre-stressed concrete. For approach, one side is 2x36m continuous box beam built from pre-stressed concrete; the other side is 2x36m broadened continuous box beam built from pre-stressed concrete; one arch of 40m-long u-shaped beam crosses over the existing road; the ramp and connecting road is of asphalt concrete, 1136m long.
The construction of Rufaa Bridge bears great significance.
