Beijing Poly 2007 Spring Auction was successfully concluded with a total turnover breaking through the 630 million mark

On June 2, 2007, Beijing Poly 2007 Spring Auction was satisfactorily concluded in Kunlun Hotel, the turnover of 2438 items in 10 special auctions amounted to 630 million yuan and the total turnover rate came up to 65%, which is the best spring auction held this year. This auction was well-received in the industry and evoked great repercussion among collector groups; and it further concreted Poly's leading position in auction industry, also greatly enhanced Poly Auction’s brand influence and awareness. Among the items, "Chinese Contemporary Ink-and-wash" clinched a deal with 19.74 million yuan; "Ancient Chinese Painting and Calligraphy" with 78.77 million yuan; "Contemporary Chinese Art Night auction" with 248 million yuan; "Contemporary Chinese Art Day Auction" with 92.92 million yuan; "China's Modern Painting" with 103.6 billion yuan; "Special Auction for Fan Painting" with 5.8 million yuan; "Precious Ancient Books" with 7.46 million yuan; "Antiques" and other three special china auctions were concluded the deal with 73.93 million yuan.

The three-day auction set a number of auction records, people itching to buy gathered in the auction scene, excellent items of high price serially emerged, good news continuously flew over from every special auction. The masterpiece of Wu Guanzhong "Ancient Ruins of Jiao" created a new record of Wu’s works with 40.7 million yuan and also became the highest bidding price on record in Chinese mainland oil paintings. Shi Chong’s "Landscape Today" and Mao Yan’s "Black Roses of Memory or Dance" which has important influence during the history of contemporary art in China after several scrambles, eventually created new records for painters’ works with prices of 10.01 million and 16.5 million respectively. Painting Master Li Keran’s masterpiece "Scenery in Li Jiang River Category" created the highest price of Li Keran’s works of the same theme in the domestic auctions with the price of 15.18 million. The first Beijing antiques and precious books special auction Poly held also completed successfully, achieving the expected development strategy success which marks Poly’s determination of becoming a fully integrated business auction enterprise.
